Can i swim with a regular tampon in a white bikini?will it get everywhere?will it leak?or be visible to others?

Well I was supposed to get my period two weeks ago. But wen I finally go on vacation we make a stop at a gas station and I started my period. Well I was going to swim everyday with my friend. And I brought a box of regular tampons just n case. Cuz I thought I wil prob. Get my period. And my mom thinks I got my period two weeks ago when I was supposed to so she doesn't know that I have it.the thing is I have 2 white bikini bottoms and 1 blue and I don't want my blood going through the white bikini bottoms. So I'm using tampax pearl and tampax and the tampax pearl the first one I put in there was blood on the string. But the second one I put in it didn't do that cuz I stuck it up higher. But anyways I'm just scared bloods going to go through my bottoms and bloods going to get all over the pool. And my flow is not too heavy but a little heavier than normal not by a lot though iis a regular tampon good enough to use for that during swimmibg cause that's all I have is regular. HELP HELP HELPPPP
